Wine has a special way of bringing people together and that’s definitely recognized. Around the world celebrations are held in honor of sparkling rosé’s, deep reds, and silky whites. Erupting in streets across the world, wine festivals have grown to become some of the most sought after events of the year - and sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming. Vintage Wine Festival


Ringing in their 40th annual festival, Vintage Wine Festival claims to be one of the greatest wine festivals to ever exist. Taking place in London, the festival offers a global selection of wine that competes well with local varieties.  Beyond your average wine festival, Vintage Wine now offers a traveling theatre, wine walks, a market, and of course, a party - to name a few of their draws. All taking place on the second weekend of May.

Niagara Icewine Festival

 

Modest beginnings to bold happenings, Canada has stepped up its wine game growing from just 70 vineyards to nearly 2000 nationally. Among the impressive lot exists an entire community that has been built on the practises of fine wine. Happening in the heart of summer, mid-june holds the Niagara Icewine Festival. A full-bodied party with a Canadian spirit, the festival kicks off with a good old-fashioned tailgate party and ends with a countdown already in place for the next festival.

Pinot Palooza



The World’s Biggest Pinot Noir Festival! Spanning out across 6 different countries and 13 different cities, Pinot Palooza can experienced from Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong or USA.  This touring festival comes packed with world eats, live entertainment, historic locations and world debuting wines. Festival of Wine



The UK’s traveling wine festival takes place in Glasgow, London, and Edinburgh. If you’re looking for a classy wine festival, check out Festival of Wine. Dinners and tastings take place in grand hotels and castles. A truly royal experience as far as wine festivals go. Each location is held up with over 300 different wines to select from and gourmet meals to match. Tickets are currently on sale for the annual event.

Bordeaux Wine Festival

Imagine Disney World, but for adults and with boats full of wine. Literally, the Bordeaux Wine Festival in France lines up celebrations on the boardwalk - including stellar discos and decadent mingling on docked ships floating the Atlantic. This four day event comes packed with live events, thousands of guests, and fireworks. All in celebration for the July grape harvest that made Bordeaux one of the original and most famous wine trading ports in history.

International Pinot Noir Celebration

 

Bringing July to a close is the annual Pinot Noir Celebration in Portland, Oregon - the heart of wine country. Running for over three decades, this weekend affair is regarded as “one of the worlds finest wine events.”  Complemented by vineyards, farm fresh foods, and closed with a Sparkling Brunch finale, this is a weekend getaway that we all deserve.

Epcot International Food and Wine Festival

 

Alright, now this one really does happen in the most magical place on earth. Disney World Resorts hosts their Spectacular Celebration of Global Cuisines, Music and… you guessed it. Spanning out from the end of August until mid November, Epcot is a rich celebration that brings together some of the worlds greatest pleasures. Including wine from everywhere imaginable. The festival really thought of everything, including wine themed dances, soirees, and pairing dinners. Vienna Wine Hike

When in doubt, Hike It Out! This wine tour in unlike any other on our list. It’s made for the outdoor adventurer who enjoys their wine with a view. The Vienna Wine Hike happens every year at the end of September. Three different trails through Kahlenberg, Bisamberg, and Mauer are offered to nature loves who wish to enjoy the easy going, laid back trek through winding Italian vineyards. South Africa’s massive wine and lifestyle festival, Soweto Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the year!
